Why V Blenders Are Trusted in Pharmaceutical Blending Applications

A V blender is a type of equipment that the pharmaceutical industry uses for various blending applications.

The primary reason V blender mixing is so critical for the pharmaceutical industry is because pharma companies must adhere to strict production guidelines. Included in that is extensive testing and quality assurance to ensure that all ingredients are thoroughly mixed. V blender mixing ensures the quality of the final product.

V Blender is one of the popular tumbler blender that are used in the pharmaceutical, chemical or food processing industry.

Diffusion is the central mechanism of V blender mixing, which means that small-scale and random motions blends solid particles. As the movements of the blender increase, the individual particles separate and recombines which promotes diffusive blending. Without segmenting effects, in time, this results in a high level of homogeneity.

Although the actual blend time depends on the type and size of the granules, it usually takes between 5 and 15 minutes. Continue reading for more...

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INTERMEDIATE BULK CONTAINERS (IBCS) AND STAINLESS STEEL INDUSTRIAL TANKS

Although there are many similarities between Intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) and Stainless steel industrial tanks, there are some distinct differences. Whether referring to large or small stainless steel tanks or IBCs, they both play a critical role in industrial applications. With the information provided, you will have an easier time distinguishing between IBCs and steel mixing tanks and storage tanks.
Similarities
1. As 100 percent reusable, both products are excellent green alternatives to plastics.
2. Both products offer maximum security and product safety.
3. Rigid IBCs and tanks made from stainless steel are strong, durable, and long lasting. Additional benefits include easy cleaning, resistance to extreme temperatures, and resistance to natural corrosion caused by chemicals and other harsh substances.
4. Intermediate bulk containers (IBCs) and stainless-steel tanks are both customizable and can be manufactured to client specific needs.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A DOUBLE-CONE BLENDER AND A V-BLENDER

Choosing an industrial blender may seem easy, but in reality, there are several important factors to consider. The double-cone blender and V-blender share the same working principle of a tumble blender used for powders. However, if you select the wrong one, you could end up with a poor product quality or process inefficiencies that directly impact your business.
When looking at the solid mixing mechanism of the two, you will discover there are some similarities as well as a difference between mixing and blending action. For clarification, mixing is a process in which two or more unique materials are combined to get a homogeneous product. In comparison, blending is a much gentler process.
As for similarities between these two types of blenders, both are tumble blenders. Every time the vessel is inverted, the contents are split, and the rotation speed is adjustable to ensure the contents slide to the lower part of the vessel during rotation. Both Double cone and V blenders are used in pharmaceutical, chemical, and nutraceutical industries. However, there are also distinctive differences.

WHY STAINLESS STEEL TABLES ARE A POPULAR OPTION

Stainless steel tables are the ideal choice for a variety of different industries, including pharmaceutical, chemical, and food and beverage. One of the reasons that stainless steel tables are often used in food service is the fact that they are nonporous. There is no risk that food-contaminating bacteria such as salmonella might become trapped in the table and transferred to food. Additionally, the smooth surface of a stainless steel table makes it much easier to clean and disinfect, something that is crucial in food service. Stainless steel enclosures are frequently manufactured in various configurations and often include casters for easy mobility.
Tables constructed of stainless steel are also a popular choice for a variety of industries due to their compact design. In environments where space is at a premium, these versatile tables make it possible to maximize space. This can be particularly important in laboratories as well as factory environments. Stainless steel tables are often the product of choice for clean rooms due to their chemical resistant nature. This is imperative, as clean rooms must be kept sanitized at all times.

WHY CHOOSE A V BLENDER?

These stainless steel industrial blenders are ideal for blending a wide range of free flowing solids products, from pharmaceutical and food applications to cosmetics and fertilizers. V blenders are available in lab size to large scale production size units depending on the job requirement.

Ability Fabricators is one of the largest manufacturers of V Blenders in Canada, with the capability to offer full turn key solution from designing & engineering to installation.

Following are some of the primary reasons that a blender of this kind is so popular and widely used by companies in Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Food & Chemical industries around the world.

  • In addition to reducing the size of particles, a V-blender has no moving blades as seen with other types of industrial blenders this is why it is perfect for delicate products.
  • Without a shaft projection on a V blender, the risk of product contamination is completely eliminated.
  • V blenders are very easy to charge and discharge with no material Accumulation.
  • A V blender’s unique body shape helps to achieve a near complete discharge of product blended, compared to horizontal blenders.
